As the relationship between the microbes and blood pressure is a complex one but many researches had concluded an indirect link between Gut bacteria and hypertension.   • Smoking and drinking – Our bad habits give rise to various issues. The Smoking and drinking alcohol alters the flora of gut.
  • Hereditary factors - There are some genes that alters the immune system of the body hence gives a suitable environment for flourishing the bacteria.
  • Environmental factors - Monsoon is the season the bacterial growth is at its peak level that too within a short period of time. So, it aggravates the condition and can raise the blood pressure.
  • Diet and lifestyle - Diet and lifestyle play a major role in developing various issues. A diet such as curd, fermented food stuffs, baked products, oily, spicy, salty, and packaged foods directly impacts the bacterial growth. Sedentary lifestyle, and exposure to polluted water, etc. vitiates the environment of the gut thus becomes the triggering factors for the hypertension.

4. Arogya Vardhini Vati

So to restore the liver function arogyavardhini vati is a medicine of choice. As liver is responsible for elimination of toxins in the body, this is an effective herbal medication to enhance that function of the liver.

Dosage: 2 tabs twice daily with plain water, after meals.

5. Sarpagandha Vati

Highly potential herb that lowers the High blood pressure level, that too without affecting the functions of the heart and other organs.

Dosage: 1 to 2 tabs twice daily with plain water, after meals

Some Home Remedies that are Helpful to maintain Gut Flora therefore Hypertension

  • Some beneficial remedies like Aloe vera juice, Triphala juice, Giloy juice, tulsi juice are beneficial in this condition.
  • Decoction prepared from fennel seeds, coriander and cumin should be taken regularly twice a day after taking meals. To prepare decoction, take 1 teaspoon of all these ingredients and boil them in 400 ml water until the water reduces to 80 ml.
